Pomegranate Caipirinha Cocktail
1/2 lime, cored and thinly sliced into 8 wedges
3 teaspoons fine sugar
3 ounces (90 ml) cachaça
3 ounces (90 ml) pomegranate juice
pomegranate seeds for garnish
Place the lime slices in the glass and sprinkle sugar on the lime. Muddle the limes until they are well smashed. Pack ice in the glass almost to the rim and pour in the cachaca and pomegranate juice. Invert into a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously for about 10 seconds. Garnish with pomegranate seeds and a lime.
