Hello! My name is Isie! This blog consists of drinks and things I find interesting. Any suggestions and submissions are accepted and encouraged. I would love as much input from my followers as possible.

Dirty Banana Shake
1 large banana
4 oz strong brewed coffee, chilled
4 oz chocolate liqueur
4 oz dark rum
2 oz cream
8 scoops vanilla ice cream
1/2 cup crushed ice
Add ice to blender to crush. Add remaining ingredients, except ice cream. Blend well. Add ice cream and continue to blend until fully incorporated. Place in a chilled pitcher or cocktail glass.

Dirty Banana Shake

White Nixon
15 oz brewed White Nixon tea, cooled
1 1/3 cup Ruby Red grapefruit juice
10 oz vodka, iced
4 oz Domaine de Canton ginger liqueur
candied clementines 
grapefruit peel
Fill 8 highball glasses with ice. Stir together tea, grapefruit juice, vodka, and ginger liqueur. Pour over ice and garnish with grapefruit peel and candied clementines

White Nixon


15 oz brewed White Nixon tea, cooled

1 1/3 cup Ruby Red grapefruit juice

10 oz vodka, iced

4 oz Domaine de Canton ginger liqueur

Fill 8 highball glasses with ice. Stir together tea, grapefruit juice, vodka, and ginger liqueur. Pour over ice and garnish with grapefruit peel and candied clementines

Cucumber Gin Fizz
1 1/2 cups vodka
2 cucumbers, 1 peeled and coarsely chopped, 1 left whole
1 lime, cut into 8 wedges
2 bottles sparkling water
1/2 to 1 cup ginger simple syrup
Put vodka and chipped cucumber in a nonreactive container. Refrigerate 1 hour. Strain. Discard cucumber. Using a vegetable peeler, shave the remaining cucumber lengthwise into wide strips, discard seeds. Fill 8 tumblers with ice. Add 3 cucumber strips and 3 tbsp vodka into each glass. Squeeze, then drop a lime wedge into each. Top with sparkling water. Stir in 1 to 2 tbsp syrup.

Cucumber Gin Fizz


1 1/2 cups vodka

2 cucumbers, 1 peeled and coarsely chopped, 1 left whole

1 lime, cut into 8 wedges

2 bottles sparkling water

1/2 to 1 cup ginger simple syrup

Put vodka and chipped cucumber in a nonreactive container. Refrigerate 1 hour. Strain. Discard cucumber. Using a vegetable peeler, shave the remaining cucumber lengthwise into wide strips, discard seeds. Fill 8 tumblers with ice. Add 3 cucumber strips and 3 tbsp vodka into each glass. Squeeze, then drop a lime wedge into each. Top with sparkling water. Stir in 1 to 2 tbsp syrup.

Celery French 75
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup sugar
2 tbsp packed fresh celery leaves, plus more for garnish
3/4 cup fresh lemon juice
6 oz gin, chilled
1 bottle sparkling wine
Candied lemon rinds or lemon twists for garnish
Combine sugar and water in a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat; add celery leaves. Let syrup cool. Pour through a fine sieve into a bowl. Discard leaves. Combine 1 tbsp celery syrup, 1 tbsp lemon juice and 1/2 oz gin in a each champagne glass. Top off with wine. Stir gently to combine. Garnish with celery leaf and lemon rind or twist.

Celery French 75


1/2 cup sugar

1/2 cup sugar

2 tbsp packed fresh celery leaves, plus more for garnish

3/4 cup fresh lemon juice

6 oz gin, chilled

1 bottle sparkling wine

Candied lemon rinds or lemon twists for garnish

Combine sugar and water in a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat; add celery leaves. Let syrup cool. Pour through a fine sieve into a bowl. Discard leaves. Combine 1 tbsp celery syrup, 1 tbsp lemon juice and 1/2 oz gin in a each champagne glass. Top off with wine. Stir gently to combine. Garnish with celery leaf and lemon rind or twist.

Honey Vanilla Spritzer
2/3 cup honey
1/2 cup water
1 vanilla bean, split and scraped
1/4 cup fresh lime juice
ice
sparkling wine
Bring honey, water, and vanilla bean to a simmer in saucepan. Cook, stirring, until honey dissolves. Let cool completely. Strain through a fine sieve. Stir in lime juice. Divide among 4 ice filled glasses. Top with sparkling wine.

2 rhubarb stalks, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
1/2 cup fresh orange juice
1 orange, halved and cut into 1/4 inch slices
1 pint strawberries, hulled and quartered
4 cups chilled seltzer
1 bottle chilled sparkling wine
ice
In a small saucepan, combine sugar and water. Bring to a boil. Add rhubarb. Transfer mixture to a medium heatproof bowl and let cool to room temperature, about 30 minutes. Meanwhile in a pitcher, combine the orange juice, orange, and strawberries. Combine the rhubarb mixture, orange juice mixture, seltzer, sparkling wine, and ice.

1/2 cup fresh orange juice

1 orange, halved and cut into 1/4 inch slices

1 pint strawberries, hulled and quartered

4 cups chilled seltzer

1 bottle chilled sparkling wine

ice

In a small saucepan, combine sugar and water. Bring to a boil. Add rhubarb. Transfer mixture to a medium heatproof bowl and let cool to room temperature, about 30 minutes. Meanwhile in a pitcher, combine the orange juice, orange, and strawberries. Combine the rhubarb mixture, orange juice mixture, seltzer, sparkling wine, and ice.

Sparkling Strawberry Cocktail
2 cups hulled strawberries
2 tbsp water
1/4 cup orange juice
1 bottle chilled Prosecco or other dry sparkling wine
1 orange sliced into rounds
mint sprigs
In a blender, puree strawberries and water until smooth. In a pitcher, combine strawberry puree, wine, and orange. Stir gently. Garnish with mint sprigs.

1/4 cup orange juice

1 bottle chilled Prosecco or other dry sparkling wine

1 orange sliced into rounds

In a blender, puree strawberries and water until smooth. In a pitcher, combine strawberry puree, wine, and orange. Stir gently. Garnish with mint sprigs.

Lillet Rose Cocktail
12 oz Lillet Rose
12 oz Ruby Red grapefruit juice
6 oz gin
6 edible flower blossoms
Combine half the Lillet, grapefruit juice, gin, and ice in a cocktail shaker. Shake until well chilled. Strain and divide among stemmed glasses. Garnish with edible flowers.

1 bottle inexpensive Spanish red wine
2 cups spiced apple cider
1/2 cup orange juice
1/2 cup brandy
cinnamon sticks
orange wheels
Mix ingredients together in a large pitcher and garnish with orange slices and cinnamon sticks. Serve over ice.
